I… don’t know Q_Q

I heard that you heard that art was getting done, and I’m thinking that you’re thinking “whaaa?!” Assuming that I’m right, you’re all anxious to see what Ryu and Rei have put together. Gutsy also hinted at some “secret projects” in our last update, so check past the break for more! Continue reading »

Hello everybody! I’m Reikun and I’ll be helping Ryu in the art department for TWCC m(_   _)m I hope I can live up to Ryu’s concept sketches for all the characters and do their linearts justice.

In the meantime, the characters are getting their proportions revamped:

Notes for revamp

Excuse my handwriting and redlines

And uhh, that’s all I have for you for now *U* Have some turtles~

First order of business: did you know we have another poll added to the Polls page? Vote for the name of the fictional town TWCC will take place in!

Second order of business: you know the perks about working with cool and reliable people? They’re cool and reliable. The LemmaTV collab group is full of great individuals, so I guess I sorta dedicate this post to them. Continue reading »

Moya decided that some of the colors don’t make sense so here’s the changes. The color concepts are still subject to change anytime but for the time being we’ll stick with these :D

CheeryMoya edit: Post too long, decided to move these into a break.

Celebratory Sea Turtle

Shut up, this never gets old.

That’s right, we have an idea of when we want to release a demo for you guys! It’ll have the basic baking sim part done, and hopefully sprites plus a week’s worth of dialogue if Ryu and I can get it in on time! When will it be out you say? *drumroll*March 31 is what we’ve all decided on, so stick around!

And while you all wait patiently, I’ve got a few badly made chibis of your favorite bishies after the break! Continue reading »

‘Sup dudes and babes; this is Xavier Zubiondo right here. So let’s get straight to business and get this show on the road.

Born and raised in SoCal, I’m just your average not-so-average guy. As a kid, I’ve always had a liking for English literature, philosophy, video games, and stuff that wasn’t on the top of popularity charts. I always vote for the underdog, since they need all the support they can get. Got a problem with that? Deal with it. I could care less if I even care at all in the first place.

I’m single at the moment, ever since my girl dumped me a few weeks ago. Hey, and don’t criticize me for not knowing the reason why. She just called it off out of the blue, and that was that. Jeez, I knew Terry was what they call a “tsundere,” but really? WTF? Seriously, FML! I can’t even be in the same room with her without having daggers glared at me. Hell, she won’t even stand hearing my name being said! I repeat: WTF.

BTW, there seems to be a certain misconception about me that won’t go away no matter what I do. Part of my usual outfit includes a fedora to top it all off, and that’s been getting me a few haters here and there (I don’t give a shit about them, though. Haters gonna hate). Just because I wear a fedora does not mean I’m a hipster, alright? I just like fedoras since they’re cool.

Níhǎo, bitches! Joshua Nguyen at your service, but you can call me later if you want ;) But hey, we should get to know each other first.

Currently is and always have been a Californian, I’m one of many Asian-Americans living in the Golden State. Always loved playing video games, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends since I was young. Before I go further though, can you guess what exact ethnicity I am? Go ahead. Guess. No, no, take your time. I can wait.

My last name is obviously Vietnamese (it’s the most common Vietnamese surname of all, I think!), but I lean more towards a Chinese-American identity. Not too earth-shattering, amirite? That’s a pretty common mix: Chinese and Vietnamese. But there’s one more ethnicity my blood’s mixed in with. I dare you to take another guess.

Got it yet? No? Try to remember your modern world history.

Think you got it now? If you guessed Russian, then you’re 100% positively right! True story, man. I’m Vietnamese, Chinese, and Russian. Mind=Blown? You’re probably wondering how that happened, huh? Lol, it’s a long story. Once you find the common link between those 3 nations, you’ll see it all.

Anyways, I’m a cool guy. Popular with the ladies and smart to boot, what’s not to love about me? Contrary to what everyone thinks, I’m actually very picky with the type of woman I want long-term. She’s gotta be intelligent, practical, funny, and easy to get along with. Oh yeah, and sexiness is a nice bonus lol

Hey guys. I’m CheeryMoya, the new author on this blog to the old followers and the mastermind behind a certain Visual Novel that’s being made to people from the LemmaSoft Forums. I assume you’ve all stumbled upon this recycled blog somehow, either from following me on the LSF or wandering around WordPress, and now you’re wondering what kinds of posts will pop up now.

Long story short, this is the new development blog for the new TwinTurtle Games organization. Whoa, that sounds professional, doesn’t it? :O Right now, it’s really just a group of four people working together on a Visual Novel called That’s the Way the Cookie Crumbles. Any of Funnyguts’ old followers will recognize the title, because she’s one of two Python programmers working with me. Most of you probably don’t need a lengthy paragraph detailing all the gory specifics, so skip the next block of text if you followed me from LSF.

TWCC is a work-in-progress otome (girl gets the guy) game that’s part Visual Novel and part Bakery Simulation. For those of you unfamiliar with the term “Visual Novel,” think of an over-glorified picture book whose story can be changed by the player. Sounds awesome, doesn’t it? Hells yeah it is :D So you play as Elise Greene, a young and aspiring baker who wants to take over the family bakery after her parents plan to sell it. Guide her as she gets the bakery back on track while interacting with other characters in the story. There are five obtainable guys, four of which who hang out in the bakery just for the heck of it (almost like an Occupy Bakery movement >_>) and one who’s your part-time cashier. The main genres are Humor, Slice-of-Life, and Drama, with extra emphasis on the drama as you go along through the game. Even though the game’s logo is looking oh-so cute and adorbz, the drama will get pretty dark and serious. I am not being sarcastic about it either, so don’t say I didn’t warn you.

The reason why I’m starting to blog is because LSF is going through some major changes in its requirements for a project to have a WIP thread. PyTom, creator of the Ren’Py engine, wants a game to have sprites and screenshots of the game before it can have a WIP thread. As of now, TWCC lacks basic sprite sets ;-; Rest assured we’ll get them done (eventually!). I plan to post updates here on the game before and after the game gets a WIP, but more behind-the-scenes type of stuff will appear here.

So this post is already long enough. In the next few posts, the team members will be introduced and extended info about the TWCC characters will be revealed. For all the LSF-ers, I highly recommend following this blog over the WIP thread as this place will be updated more frequently and faster with more details. Thanks for reading, and stay tuned!
